TYPE LOCALITY: Indonesia, Timor (uncertain) .

DISTRIBUTION: Queensland; New South Wales; Victoria, South Australia; Western Australia; Tasmania; Papua New Guinea; perhaps Timor.

COMMENT: This bat has been confused with the smaller gouldi in coastal S. E. Queensland (FRA). See Hall and Richards, 1979, Bats of Eastern Australia, Queensl. Mus., Booklet, 12.
