nom. nov.

Stelis angelica Karremans View in CoL , nom. nov.

Replaced synonym: Crocodeilanthe saccata Kolanowska & Szlachetko (2020: 134–136) . ( Fig. 4a,b View FIGURE 4 )

Type:— COLOMBIA. Putumayo: Road between Laguna La Cocha and Páramo de Tabano, 2800–3000 m. 1 Jun 1948. Schultes & Villarreal 7842 (lectotype, selected here: AMES-02084620!; isolectotype, AMES-02084544!) .

Notes:— Not Stelis saccata Luer & Hirtz in Luer (2002: 7). Upon describing this taxon, the authors cited both the holotype and isotype at AMES, without any distinguishing labels. As the physical specimens themselves and the illustration are not annotated, it is impossible to determine which is the holotype. Therefore, AMES-02084620 is here selected as lectotype because it bears an annotation by the authors proving that at least it was examined by them. The new name refers to the fancied appearance of the lip in the original illustration .
