Lebia calliope Bates, 1883a: 231. Type locality: "Mirador [and] Cerro de Plumas, Mexico; San Gerónimo, Guatemala" (original citation). Syntype(s) probably in BMNH.
Lebia serpentina Casey, 1920: 256. Type locality: "Brownsville [Cameron County], Texas" (original citation). Seven syntypes [7 originally cited] in USNM [# 47655]. Synonymy established by Madge (1967: 212).
Distribution.
This species ranges from southeastern Texas (Madge 1967: 212) along the Rio Grande south at least to Guatemala (Bates 1883a: 231).
