Type material.
There are three samples of Limnaeus cerasum from the Ganges River in ZMB kept under accession numbers 8650 (six syntypes), 72989 (a single syntype), and 109766 (two syntypes). The largest syntype’s shell is 23.3 mm height.

India, the Ganges River.

A junior synonym of Cerasina luteola .
