Figs. 18–28 View FIGURES 18–21 View FIGURES 22–28

Description. External features as in C. furcatus sp. nov. (see above), but stripes on vertex lighter. Eyes yellowishbrown ( Figs. 18, 20 View FIGURES 18–21 ). Hind femur apical setal formula 2+2+1+1 ( Fig. 21 View FIGURES 18–21 ).

Male genitalia. Male pygofer similar to C. furcatus sp. nov. ( Fig. 22 View FIGURES 22–28 ). Valve with anterior margin slightly concave and posterior margin produced medially. Subgenital plate about 4 times as long as wide at base, with 8 long macrosetae along lateral margin, and with slightly sclerotized apex ( Figs. 23, 24 View FIGURES 22–28 ). Aedeagus with a pair of arcuate laterobasal processes, nearly 1/2 as long as aedeagal shaft, and aedeagal shaft speculate in distal half length ( Figs. 25, 26 View FIGURES 22–28 ). Connective Y-shaped, stem slightly longer than arms ( Fig. 27 View FIGURES 22–28 ). Style broad at base, abruptly narrowing subapically, preapical lobe with fine setae, apex finger shape ( Fig. 28 View FIGURES 22–28 ).

Measurement. Length (including tegmen): Ƌ, 7.8mm.

Type material. Holotype: ³, China: Guangxi Autonomous Region, Damingshan , 15 May 2012, coll. Hu Li ( GUGC).

Remarks. This new species is similar to C. furcatus sp. nov., but can be distinguished by the aedeagus with a pair of acuate laterobasal processes, nearly 1/2 length of aedeagus, and the aedeagal shaft spiculate in distal half; subgenital plate about 4 timesas long as wide at base.

Etymology. The new species is derived from the Latin word “ pleio -”and “ spicules ”, referring to the apical margin of the aedeagal shaft with many small spines.
