Material examined. Catalonia, Coll de Comiols, Montsec (1.138 m) 17.VI.2019, J. M. Olmo-Vidal (1♂ holotype) ( MCNB) . Catalonia, Coll de Comiols , (1.138 m.) 17.VI.2019, J.M. Olmo-Vidal (1♂ paratype, 2♀ paratypes) ( MCNB) .
Description. Male ( Fig 2 View FIGURES 2–4 ). General coloration grey or brown variable. Inside hind femora black red or red darkness at the base to the middle part. Inside hind tibia red. Antennae 16-segmented not very flattened. Frontal ridge with longitudinal furrow narrowed below median ocellus and then divergent toward the clypeus. Pronotum with the carina arcuate and interrupted by three sulci. Hind angle of the pronotum rounded. Anterior angle pointed. In lateral view the principal transverse sulcus between prozona and metazona clearly incised. Prosternal process trapezoidal from below. Mesosternal lobes are approximately equal width than long. Mesosternal space 2.0 times wider than long. Sub-brachypterous with the tegmina reaching the 5 th abdominal tergite and the epiproct visible. Hind wing with de 2 nd anal vein curved. Hind tibiae with double rows of several stout spines and a pair of larger stout spurs on each side. In dorsal view, the male epiproct is rectangular, pointed on the hind margin and with a longitudinal furrow; cerci slender, pointed and longer than epiproct. Subgenital plate pointed and flat dorsally without concavity. Epiphallus longer than wide with short posterior edge. Pseudolophi of epiphallus parallel with the ancorae large and pointed ( Fig 5 View FIGURES 5–6 ). Penis valves long and narrow ( Fig 6 View FIGURES 5–6 ).
Female ( Fig 7 View FIGURE 7 ). Similar to male, but much larger and stouter. Pronotum with the principal transverse sulcus strong and wide V-shaped. Prosternal process trapezoidal from below. Mesosternal lobes are approximately equal width than long. Mesosternal space 2.5 times wider than long. Tegmina not reaching the end of second abdominal segment. Median carina of the abdomen projecting tooth-like at the end of tergites with a terminal spines. In lateral view the spines of abdominal tergites of females covering only 1/5 of the following tergite ( Fig 9 View FIGURES 9–10 ). Lateral margins of tergites with some supplementary small protuberances. Supra-anal plate elongate with median groove. Epiproct long with transverse suture and a longitudinal furrow. Cerci very short and thick with broadly rounded tips. Ovipositor valves cream coloured, stout with slightly curved black tips. Sub-genital plate rectangular, with a triangular lobe in the middle.
Etymology. This species is dedicated to Albert Xaus, who have found the first specimen (nymph) located in Serra del Montsec site.
