Dasyhelea scissurae Macfie, 1937: 15 ( Trinidad) ; Borkent and Spinelli 2000: 26 (in Neotropical catalog; distribution); Borkent and Grogan 2009: 11 (in Nearctic catalog; distribution).

Dasyhelea koenigi Delécolle and Rieb, 1994: 267 ( Guadeloupe) ; Borkent and Spinelli 2000: 26 (in Neotropical catalog). NEW SYNONYM.

Discussion. Borkent and Spinelli (2000) and Borkent and Grogan (2009) listed this Neotropical species from Florida. However, the bases for these inclusions are unknown, and therefore, we provide the first definitive records of D. scissurae from Florida and the United States. In addition, the illustrations of the male genitalia of D. koenigi Delécolle and Rieb (1994) described from the male holotype and female allotype from Guadeloupe are virtually identical with illustrations of the male genitalia of D. scissurae described by Macfie (1937) from Trinidad. We consider them conspecific, and therefore, Dasyhelea koenigi Delécolle and Rieb is a junior objective synonym of Dasyhelea scissurae Macfie (NEW SYNONYM).
