Vernacular Names: Fog Shrew.

Subspecies Sorex (Otisorex) sonomae subsp. sonomae Jackson 1921

Subspecies Sorex (Otisorex) sonomae subsp. tenelliodus Carraway 1990

Distribution: Pacific coast from Oregon to N California ( USA).

Conservation: IUCN – Lower Risk (lc).

Discussion: Subgenus Otisorex . S. vagrans complex ( Carraway, 1990). The small and morphologically distinct subspecies tenelliodus may well be a good species.
