Inurois tenuis Butler, 1879: 445 . Syntypes ♂, ♀ (BMNH). Type locality: Japan, Yokohama .

REMARKS. In the original description, the wingspan is given for male and female, which is impossible for this species; apparently the larger specimen was mistaken for a female.

DISTRIBUTION. Japan (Hokkaido, Honshu, Kyushu,?Tsushima). Record from

Tsushima needs to be tested on the misidentification of I. viidaleppi or true I.

membranaria, since for pair closely related geometrids, the cases are known when the continental species inhabits these islands, but not Japanese vicariant.
