Type material. Holotype, female (slide number NJAUAcariEriH66, marked Holotype), from Angelica sp. ( Apiaceae ), Jiagedaqi, Heilongjiang Province, P. R. China, 50°24'27''N, 124°06'43''E, elevation 365m, 17 July 2008, coll. Xiao-Feng Xue, Zhen Wang & Zi-Wei Song. GoogleMaps Paratypes, 5 females (slide number NJAUAcariEriH16), with the same data as holotype GoogleMaps .
Relation to host. Vagrant on leaf surface. No damage to the host was observed.
Etymology. The specific designation angelica is from the generic name of the host plant, Angelica.
Differential diagnosis. This species is similar to Tetra peucedani Farkas, 1970 , from Peucedanum alsaticum L. ( Apiaceae ), but can be differentiated from the latter by the prodorsal shield with median, admedian and submedian lines and granules (prodorsal shield smooth in T. peucedani ) and dorsal annuli with filament microtubercles (dorsal annuli smooth in T. peucedani ).
