Host. Gleditsia sinensis Lam. (Leguminosae) .
Relation to host. Vagrant.
Distribution. China (Liaoning).
Note. Kuang et al. (2005) wrongly gave a name of gladitsiae . According to the generic name of host plant, the species name should be gleditsiae , which is a junior homonym of Aculus gleditsiae (Keifer, 1959) . Therefore we provide a new name, Aculus liaoningensis Xue, Guo & Hong for the species described in Kuang et al. (2005). The specific name is based on the place where it was collected.
