Notes: Ommaleskia fumosa Townsend, 1917 and Oestrogaster fumosa Townsend, 1912 are types species of their respective original genera, and became secondary homonyms since the synonymy between Ommaleskia and Oestrogaster with Calodexia were proposed by Wood (1985:25).

Nomen novum: Calodexia neofumosa , new name for Calodexia fumosa ( Townsend, 1917) .

4. Calodexia flavipes (Bigot, 1889:268) (Homodexia) . Holotype female (BMNH). Type locality: “ Mexico ” Preocc. by Calodexia flavipes (Schiner, 1868:326) (Meigenia) . Holotype male (NHMW). Type locality: “ Brazil ”.

Notes: Homodexia flavipes Bigot was used as type species of Eucalodexia Townsend, 1908 , but this genus was synonymized with Calodexia Wulp, 1891 by Wood (1985:25). Since then, it is a secondary homonym of Calodexia flavipes (Schiner) .

Nomen novum: Calodexia bigoti , new name for Calodexia flavipes (Bigot) .
