Remarks.
Notomastus latericeus Sars, 1851 was described from Norway and has been reported widely around the world. Hernández-Alcántara and Solís-Weiss (1993, 1998 and 1999) reported it from the Gulf of California but following examination of their material it was found that they are similar to the type material of Notomastus magnus Hartman, 1947.
