Etymology L indistincta   HNS , obscure, allusion unknown.

Diagnosis Close to piceonigra   HNS of Costa Rica and Mexico, considered by Longino (1997) to belong with it in a single, very variable species, but by me to represent a different, sympatric species. See description of the differences in the Diagnosis of piceonigra   HNS . Measurements (mm) Lectotype major: HW 1.26, HL 1.20, SL 0.94, EL 0.22, PW 0.66. Paralectotype minor: HW 0.60, HL 0.62, SL 0.64, EL 0.14, PW 0.40.

color Major: body and posterior two-thirds of head plain medium brown; anterior third of head a slightly contrasting yellowish brown; appendages yellowish brown.

Minor: concolorous plain light brown; appendages tending to yellowish brown, especially tarsi. range Known only from Costa Rica; see discussion under piceonigra   HNS . biology Unknown; see discussion under piceonigra   HNS .
