Type material examined. Syntype. "Wallace / 57 / SAR [ Sarawak] / Hemitrachys bizonatus Gorh. [hw by Gorham] / g. nov., Sarawak, Borneo / Museum Paris, Coll. M.A. Chevrolat" (MNHN, male).
Diagnosis. The differences between this species and H. tubericollis n. sp. are shown in the diagnosis section under the new species.
Variation. In most specimens, the third interval is with a row of tubercules; but in some few specimens are with a cluster of tubercules gathering on a faint hump more or less elevated.

Distribution. Malaysia (Penang, Perak, Sarawak), Singapore, Brunei ( Fig. 38 View FIGURE 38 ).
Remarks. Three males from Perak, Penang and Brunei respectively were dissected and compared.
