Material examined. Holotype ♂, BRAZIL: Rio de Janeiro: Rio de Janeiro: Parque Estadual do Desengano , 21º50’S, 41º40’W, 17–20.iv.2002, Malaise trap, C.O. Azevedo & team col. ( MZSP) GoogleMaps .
Geographical distribution. Known only from the type-locality, in the State of Rio de Janeiro, in southeastern Brazil.
Comments. The original description of C. brandaoi is complete concerning the features considered in this study and there is no need of redescription. The analysis of the species holotype confirmed its status as a valid species. New foreleg, wing and hind femur illustrations are presented.
