This species was described from Germany ( Caspers 1984) and was later found in the British Isles (Chan- dler 1988), Bulgaria, Central Europe ( Chandler 2013), Sweden, Norway, and Denmark ( Kjaerandsen 2012). However, a recently described species, M. gemerensis Ševčík & Kurina 2011 , is close to M. lastovkai , and thus older records of the latter species should be verified due to possible confusion of these 2 taxa ( Salmela and Kaunisto 2015). Immature stages of M. lastovkai are unknown.
