Callichrominae Swainson, 1840: 293 [stem: Callichromat-]. Type genus: Callichroma Latreille, 1816. Comment: incorrect original stem formation, not in prevailing usage; this family-group name was incorrectly credited to Swainson and Shuckard (1840) by Bousquet et al. (2009: 42).

Terambidae Gistel, 1848: [8] [stem: Teramb-]. Type genus: Terambus Gistel, 1848 [syn. of Aromia Audinet-Serville, 1834].
