Holotype: ♂. MEXICO: Puebla (Estado de México ), E Slope, Mt. Popocatepetl, 29 km E Amecameca, 3125 m, 25/VIII/1987. Col. J. Doyen.
Conservation status: Complete, well-preserved; genitalia glued on a triangle. Allotype: ♀. Ídem.

Paratypes: 2 ♂, 1 ♀. Ídem.
Conservation status: Complete, well-preserved; genitalia of two specimens glued on a triangle.
Additional notes: The name of this species was replaced for Plateros zaragozai (see Kazantzev, 2011).
