Holotype: ♂. MEXICO: Puebla, Paijatlan, 700 msnm, 10/VII/1994. Col. E. Barrera, C. Mayorga. Conservation status: Complete, well-preserved; genitalia glued on a triangle. Additional notes: The current name of this species is Paraplateros barrerai (Zaragoza-Caballero, 1999) (see Kazantzev, 2011).
