Holotype: ♂. MEXICO: Jalisco, 8 km N El Tuito , 20/X/1987. Col. J. A. Chemsak & J. A. Powell. Conservation status: Complete, well-preserved; genitalia glued on a triangle.

Allotype: ♀. MEXICO: Jalisco, Carr. Barra Navidad-Pto. Vallarta, km 84, 3/XI/1989. Col. E. Ramírez. Conservation status: Complete, well-preserved.

Additional notes: The current name of this species is Paraplateros chemsaki (Zaragoza-Caballero, 1999) (see

Kazantzev, 2011).
