Holotype: ♂. MEXICO: Veracruz, 6.3 km al Sur de Tebanca , 3/I/1994. Col. S. Zaragoza, A . Mendoza. Conservation status: wing mounted on card.

Allotype: ♀. Ídem.

Conservation status: Complete, well-preserved.

Paratypes: 7 ♂, 7 ♀. Ídem.

Conservation status: Complete, well-preserved; genitalia of four specimens ♂ glued on a triangle. Additional notes: The current name of this species is Leptoceletes leo (Zaragoza) (see Miller, 2003).
