Male Head black without a yellow band along inner margin of eye. Width of vertex 1.7 times diameter of eye. Antennae black, 10 joints, length of third joint 1.8 times maximum width. Ocellus somewhat larger, placed near the lower margin of eye. Pronotum black, with a triangular white band on the lower margin. Fore wing black without yellow spot. Hind wing not reaching the base of epiproct. Fore leg black, femur with longitudinal yellow stripe, tibia yellow at apical part. Mid leg black, with yellow band at 2/3 part and apex. Hind femur black, without white spot on upper side. Hind tibia yellow, upper margin serration. Abdominal tergum black, and sternum black, with white band. Cercus and stylus dark. Epiproct black, with a longitudinal groove in the middle.

Female Body larger than the male. Width of vertex 1.9 times diameter of eye. Pronotum without two yellow sports near anterior margin. Hind wing longer, almost reaching the base of epiproct. Subgenital plate with longitudinal sulcus in the middle, its maximum width of 2.0 times length in ventral view. Other as same as the male.

Measurement (in mm): Length of body: ♂ 5.2, ♀ 6.4. Length of tegmina: ♂ 1.3, ♀ 1.5. Length of hind femora ♂ 3.0, ♀ 3.5.

Diagnosis. The new species is similar to Xya shandongensis Zhang et al, 2018 . The major differences are listed in Table 1 View TABLE 1 .
