Comments. Lindner (1943: 95) erroneously synonymized Beris trichonota Philippi, 1865 (currently in Beridops Enderlein, 1913b ) with Archistratiomys luctifera ( Philippi, 1865) . There is one paralectotype of Exaireta philippii Bigot, 1879 designated by Woodley (1995: 58) in the NHMUK collection (type No. BMNH(E)240014).
