Type Locality: Bolivia, Prov. Nuflo de Chaves, Esperanza, near Concepcion.
Vernacular Names: Goodfellow's Tuco-tuco.
Distribution: Santa Cruz Prov., SE Bolivia.
Discussion: Considered a subspecies of boliviensis by Cabrera (1961) and by Woods (1993). Cook and Yates (1994) noted that "this taxon is distinct from boliviensis at the species level" and Anderson (1997) recognized it as a distinct species. Karyotype is 2n=46; FN=68 ( Anderson et al., 1987).
