Description. Female. Body length 1.0− 1.4 mm. Body dark with green or blue sheen; antenna generally yellowish-white except pedicel dorsally and about basal 2/3 of clava dark brown; fore wing with a transverse hyaline strip beyond stigmal vein, and in apical 1/3 strongly infuscate ( Fig. 40 View FIGURES 39 − 44. 39 − 44 ); fore leg yellowish ( Fig. 41 View FIGURES 39 − 44. 39 − 44 ); mid leg yellowish except basal half of coxa dark brown ( Fig. 42 View FIGURES 39 − 44. 39 − 44 ); hind leg yellow except coxa, apical 2/3 of femur and tibia subbasally dark brown ( Fig. 43 View FIGURES 39 − 44. 39 − 44 ).

Head. Frontovertex slightly less than 1/3 head width; ocelli arranged in an angle of about 80º; posterior ocelli nearly touching inner eye margin, separated from occipital margin by 3 × its own diameter; antenna ( Fig. 39 View FIGURES 39 − 44. 39 − 44 ) with scape about 4 × as long as broad; pedicel about as long as combined length of F1−F4; F1−F4 slightly transverse, F5 and F6 subquadrate; clava about as long as funicle; mandible quadridentate.

Thorax. Fore wing about 2.5 × as long as broad; marginal vein about 3 × as long as broad; stigmal vein nearly 2/3 as long as marginal vein; postmarginal vein about half as long as marginal vein ( Fig. 40 View FIGURES 39 − 44. 39 − 44 ).

Gaster. Ovipositor sheaths ( Fig. 44 View FIGURES 39 − 44. 39 − 44 ) very slightly exserted, by about 1/10 gaster length.

Relative measurements. MT 45, OL 65, GL 17.

Male. Unknown.

Hosts. Duplachionaspis sansevieriae Williams , Odonaspis sp., Odonaspis janeirensis (Hempel) , Odonaspis ruthae Kotinsky (Timberlake 1919; Burks 1958; Prinsloo 1983; Trjapitzin 1989; Noyes 2002).

Distribution. China (new record), Bermuda, Brazil, Japan, Mexico, South Africa, Trinidad & Tobago, USA ( Peck 1963; Trjapitzin 1989; Noyes 2002).

Material examined. CHINA: Hainan, Five Finger Mt., 12.v.2007, coll. Y.Z. Zhang (2 ΨΨ); Limu Mt., 18.vii.2007, coll. L. Ding (1 Ψ).

Extralimital material examined. Trinidad, W. I., Curepe Sta. Margararita, Circ. Rd, 29.iv −5.v.1974, F.D. Bennett (det. JS Noyes, 1978) (1 Ψ).

Comments. Adelencyrtus quadridentatus ( Girault, 1915) is very close to Adelencyrtus odonaspidis Fullaway , originally described from Hawaii, if not synonymous (also see Compere & Annecke 1961; Hayat et al. 1975).
