Ampullaria nucleus Philippi, 1852 . Updated status of type material — lectotype ( Köhler & Glaubrecht 2006: 207, fig. 2H): ZMB 1374a; paralectotype: ZMB 1374b [listed as syntypes by Cowie & Thiengo (2003: 79)]. Additional remarks. Treated as incertae sedis among New World Ampullariidae View in CoL by Cowie & Thiengo (2003: 79). The name nucleus treated as a noun in apposition.
Pomacea (Effusa) oligista Pilsbry & Olsson, 1953 . Additional type material — paratypes: USNM 605847 (3 spms.).
Ampullaria pachystoma Philippi, 1849 View in CoL . Additional detail of type material —possible syntype: MNHNCL 15917 (1 spm., old number 61.044).
Additional remarks. The possible syntype is smaller and the shell banding pattern does not match the illustration of pachystoma View in CoL given by Philippi (1852a: 44, pl. 12, fig. 5), though the labels identify it as pachystoma Philippi. However View in CoL , although bigger than Philippi’s dimensions for crocostoma Philippi, the shape of the shell is a better match and the shell banding pattern is an excellent match. It is possible, therefore, that this shell is a syntype of crocostoma Philippi, perhaps the illustrated specimen.
