Diagnosis

Flagellum ± long and slender, setae short (figure 51) (compared to similar nonaequa (figure 54)), not reaching the middle of following segment.

Female (length of body =0.9–1.0 mm)

Colour. Scape yellowish brown, pedicel and flagellum brown. Head and mesosoma dark with golden tinges. Coxae and femora dark and metallic; fore and mid tibiae yellowish brown, hind tibia brown, tarsi yellowish brown. Fore wing with an infuscate stripe medially, reaching from marginal vein to hind margin of wing. Gaster dark with golden tinges, membranes pale brown.

Head. Antenna as in figure 51. HE/MS/MO: 1.9/1.0/1.0. Frons and vertex with weak reticulation, meshes transverse. Posterior ocelli situated at occipital margin; POL/OOL: 2.0/1.0. Occipital margin rounded; with distinct transverse and median longitudinal grooves. WH/WT=1.1.

Mesosoma . Mesoscutum flattened, 0.6× as long as wide, with weak and engraved reticulation, meshes elongate except very anterior part which has transverse meshes, with one pair of setae situated close to anterior margin. Scutellum flattened, 0.6× as long as wide, with weak reticulation, meshes elongate; scutellar setae situated closer to posterior margin, ratio distances to anterior margin of scutellum/posterior margin of scutellum=1.3. Axilla advanced 0.7× its length in front of scuto-scutellar sulcus. TPS strongly curved. Fore wing speculum closed below; LW/LM/HW: 1.9/1.0/1.2; postmarginal vein absent. Propodeum smooth and shiny; propodeal callus with two setae.

Metasoma. Gastral tergites smooth and shiny; MM/LG=1.3.

Material examined

H: X, Costa Rica: Puntarenas, San Vito, Las Cruces, Wilson Botanico , 1150 m, 18–22 March 1990, J. S. Noyes (BMNH) .

P: 1 X with same label data as holotype (INBio).
