Specimens examined. One female, Turkey, Giresun, Alucra, Kamışlı, 40° 16' 19'' N, 38° 48' 02'' E, alt. 1632 m, 24 August 2007, from moss and soil; two females Turkey, Giresun, between Çamoluk and Alucra, 40° 15' 27'' N, 38° 50' 12'' E, alt. 1805 m, 31 May 2008, from soil and litter under Juniperus sp.; four females, Turkey, Tokat, between Niksar and Erbaa, 40° 39' 34'' N, 36° 41' 58'' E, alt. 233 m, 14 May 2011, from plant litter.
Notes. Longicheles mandibularis was found in litter under Juniperus sp., and in moss and soil at altitudes between 233–1805 m. It is widely distributed in Europe (Mašán 2003), Australia (Halliday 2001) and New Zealand (Emberson 2010), and is previously known from Turkey (Çobanoğlu & Bayram 1998).
