Material examined. MOZAMBIQUE: Inhambane: Morrungulo, Morrungulo Resort , 23°13.983’S, 35°29.587’E, beating shrubs, dune forest, 6.XII.2007, leg. R. Lyle & R. Fourie, 1 subad. ♀ ( NCA 2020 /166) GoogleMaps .

Remarks. We have only examined a subadult female, but its size, shape of the abdomen and cheliceral dentition suggest that it is P. castaneus .

Distribution. Known from South Africa and Zimbabwe. This is the first record from Mozambique.
