Material examined. MOZAMBIQUE: Inhambane: Bartholomew Diaz Point , 21°15.585’S, 35°06.851’E, mangroves, beating shrubs, 9.XII.2007, leg. R. Lyle & R. Fourie, 2♀ ( NCA 2020 /127) GoogleMaps .

Description. See Haddad & Wesołowska (2013) for a description of both sexes. General appearance and epigyne in Fig. 42A–E View FIGURE 42 .

Distribution. Previously known from northern KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, recorded from Mozambique for the first time.

Remarks. Pseudicius squamatus shares several characteristics with Psenuc vesporum , particularly the shape of the palpal bulb and embolus, but differs from it by the very different epigynal conformation. Specifically, the copulatory openings are situated posteriorly, with the copulatory ducts directed anteriorly and forming two strong loops before entering the spermathecae laterally. Nonetheless, a placement in Psenuc is more consistent based on the palpal morphology of the species, so we propose its transfer to Psenuc here.
