Description. Length 7.1–7.2 mm, width 2.7–2.8 mm. General color ( Figs 14F, 14G View FIGURE 14 ) metallic blue; antennomeres I–VIII black, IX–XI white or pale yellow. Antennae filiform in male, antennomeres VII and VIII slightly swollen, outer margins of IX and X with processes at middles ( Fig. 24A View FIGURE 24 ), length ratios of antennomeres I–XI 1.0: 0.3: 0.7: 0.9: 1.0: 0.9: 1.0: 1.0: 0.8: 0.7: 0.9, length to width ratios of antennomeres I–XI 3.3: 1.4: 2.6: 3.3: 3.7: 3.3: 2.8: 3.3: 2.7: 2.8: 4.5; filiform in females ( Fig. 24B View FIGURE 24 ), length ratios of antennomeres I–XI 1.0: 0.3: 0.7: 0.8: 0.9: 0.8: 0.9: 0.8: 0.8: 0.7: 0.9, length to width ratios of antennomeres I–XI 3.3: 1.4: 2.9: 3.3: 3.5: 3.1: 3.3: 3.4: 3.4: 3.2: 4.2. Elytra elongate and parallel-sided, 1.8x longer than wide; disc with dense, coarse punctures, arranged into longitudinal rows, with one weak longitudinal ridge between two longitudinal rows of punctures, ridges near suture abbreviated. Tarsomeres I of front legs swollen in males; subparallel in females. Aedeagus ( Figs 24 View FIGURE 24 C–24E) extremely slender, 7.1x longer than wide; parallel-sided, slightly narrower at apical 1/6, apex truncate; tectum well sclerotized, basally broadened, broader than aedeagus; slightly curved in lateral view; ventral surface with deep notch from apex to base, narrowed at apical 1/6, abruptly broadened at apical 1/4, basal notch open; triangular sclerites present; internal sac with one broad, elongate sclerite, apically narrower, one extremely elongate sclerite located dorsally, with one pair of clusters of stout setae along sides, with one pair small stout setae located posteriorly. Gonocoxae ( Fig. 24G View FIGURE 24 ) elongate, widest at apex, both gonocoxae combined together from basal 1/5 to apical 1/7; apices narrowly rounded, each gonocoxa with eight setae along outer margin from apex to apical 1/5; with one pair of short lateral processes at basal 2/5. Ventrite VIII ( Fig. 24F View FIGURE 24 ) longitudinal and well sclerotized; disc with several long setae laterally and near apical margin, and with dense, short setae along apical margin; spiculum extremely slender. Receptacle of spermatheca ( Fig. 24H View FIGURE 24 ) strongly swollen; pump slender and strongly curved; proximal spermathecal duct deeply inserted into receptacle, narrow and short.
Variations. Some specimens possess paler antennomeres V and VI and white antennomeres VII–XI ( Fig. 14I View FIGURE 14 ). A male from Sabah has black antennomeres VII ( Fig. 14H View FIGURE 14 ).
Diagnosis. Specimens of T. yuae sp. nov. are similar to those of T. houjayi sp. nov. in possessing three apical white antennomeres (two apical white antennomeres in T. tsoui sp. nov. and T. kedenburgi ) and reduced longitudinal ridges near suture of elytra (distinct longitudinal ridges near suture of elytra in T. elegantula ). These two cannot be separated from each other based on external morphology. However, T. yuae sp. nov. is only found in Sarawak and males possess broad and rounded apices of the male aedeagi, in contrast to T. houjayi sp. nov., which is confined to Kalimantan. Males of the latter possess slender and notched apices of the male aedeagi.
Etymology. This new species is named after Mrs. Su-Fang Yu, a member of TCRT for her contribution to di- versity of leaf beetles.
Distribution. East Malaysia (Sabah, Sarawak).
