Redescription. Length 8.1–9.1 mm, width 2.5– 2.2 mm. General color ( Figs 1H, 1I View FIGURE 1 ) brown to blackish brown; antennomeres IX–XI white or pale yellow; elytra metallic purple or blue. Antennae filiform in males, but antennomeres VI slightly broadened apically, VII strongly swollen, VIII with basolateral process expanding posteriorly ( Fig. 4A View FIGURE 4 ), length ratios of antennomeres I–IX (X & XI lost) 1.0: 0.3: 0.9: 1.0: 1.0: 1.0: 1.4: 0.9: 1.0, length to width ratios of antennomeres I–IX 3.0: 1.3: 3.2: 2.8: 2.5: 1.8: 2.1: 1.5: 3.5; filiform in females ( Fig. 4B View FIGURE 4 ), length ratios of antennomeres I–XI 1.0: 0.3: 0.7: 0.8: 0.8: 0.7: 0.9: 0.8: 0.8: 0.8: 1.0, length to width ratios of antennomeres I–XI 3.2: 1.7: 3.3: 3.3: 2.7: 2.3: 2.6: 3.0: 3.6: 3.6: 4.6. Elytra elongate and parallel-sided, 2.1x longer than wide; disc with dense, coarse punctures, arranged into longitudinal rows, with one weak longitudinal ridge between two longitudinal rows of punctures, basally abbreviated. Tarsomeres I of front legs slightly swollen in males. Aedeagus ( Figs 4 View FIGURE 4 C–4E) slender, 7.1x longer than wide; apex lanceolate, with median, deep, wide notch from apex to apical 1/4; sides widest at apical 1/4, gradually narrowed towards basal 1/4; tectum well sclerotized, abruptly narrowed near apex, apex narrowly rounded; straight in lateral view, slightly curved near base; triangular sclerites small; internal sac with one median, elongate sclerite, apex acute, basally connected with laterally flattened sclerite, covered with stout setae. Gonocoxae ( Fig. 4G View FIGURE 4 ) elongate, widest at apical 1/7, both gonocoxae combined together from basal 1/5 to apical 1/10; apices narrowly rounded, each gonocoxa with eight setae along outer margin from apex to apical 1/7; with one pair of short lateral processes at basal 2/5. Ventrite VIII ( Fig. 4F View FIGURE 4 ) elongate and well sclerotized; disc with several long setae laterally and near apical margin, and with dense, short setae along apical margin; spiculum extremely slender. Receptacle of spermatheca ( Fig. 4H View FIGURE 4 ) strongly swollen; pump slender and strongly curved; proximal spermathecal duct deeply inserted into receptacle, narrow and short.
Diagnosis. Specimens of T. longicollis are similar to those of T. impressa in possessing two modified antennomeres in males, and the narrow prothorax. They differ from T. impressa by having brown or blackish brown bodies (reddish brown bodies in T. impressa ), modified antennomeres VII and VIII in males (modified antennomeres VI and VII in males of T. impressa ). In addition, specimens are also similar to those of T. chungi sp. nov. in possessing modified antennomeres VII and VIII in males and reduced laterally flattened sclerites of the internal sac but they differ in coloration, with brown or blackish brown bodies (reddish brown bodies in T. cnungi sp. nov.), and antennomeres VIII with basolateral processes in males (lacking basolateral process in males of T. chung sp. nov.).
Distribution. Indonesia: Mentawei islands.
