Mycomyiella securiculata Matile, 1973: 202 View in CoL , figs 17–19. Type locality: EQUATORIAL GUINEA: Fernando Poó, Bioko, Moka forest; MNHN; male.
The species is described in detail by Matile (1973). The male groups with M. camerounensis Matile View in CoL and M. ghanaensis View in CoL new species in having a simple gonostylus with thickened base. It can be separated from M. camerounensis View in CoL in having the lobes of tergite 9 evenly setose, and from M. ghanaensis View in CoL in having a comparatively long gonostylus.
Distribution: The species is only known from the island of Fernando Poó, Equatorial Guinea.
