Subgenus Neocollyris View in CoL
Neocollyris (Neocollyris) bonnelli bonnelli (Guerin-Meneville, 1834)
Horn (1930), Wiesner (1992), Hua (2002), Sawada & Wiesner (2003) and Shook, Wiesner (2006), Wiesner (2007), Wiesner (2008) and Werner & Wiesner (2008) list it for Hong Kong. This appears to be the commonest of these thin blue Tiger Beetles, though like the other species it takes to the wing easily and so is seldom seen. Material: 1 ex., Hong Kong, Lam Tsuen valley, Tai Om Shan, 24.v.14 on leaf of small Ficus hispida L tree; 1 ex., Hong Kong, Lam Tsuen valley, Tai Om Shan, 28.v.13; 1 ex. Hong Kong, Lantau, Sunset Peak, circa 500 m altitude, 6.vi.10, netted from grass; 1 ex. W.T., 14.vii.07 in grass. Biology: May to July. In scrub from sea level to at least 500 m altitude. Fully winged.
