Genus Pogonus Dejean, 1821 View in CoL
Pogonus sp.
This may be the first record for this tribe in Hong Kong, though Bowring wrote in a letter dated 2nd June 1851, that in the spring he had caught "one or two species like Pogonus " (Anon, 1851) presumably from Hong Kong. The imago is quite similar to P. chalceus (Marsham 1802) , but with paler legs, antennae and apical quarter of elytra. Material: Ƌ W.T.L., 6.vii.15. Biology: Imago found July. Can be attracted to light. It seems to prefer vertical surfaces on which it was quite agile.
