Genus Hikosanoagonum Habu, 1954 View in CoL
There possibly are two species of this genus inhabiting Hong Kong which differ in size, coloration and other characters. These records represent the first citation of the genus for Hong Kong.
Hikosanoagonum sp. 1
Body size 9 mm long. Material: 1 ex. Hong Kong, Lantau, Tung Chung valley, 15.iv.14 circa 300 m altitude; ♀ Hong Kong, Lantau, Tung Chung valley, 25.v.14; 1 ex. Hong Kong, Lantau, Sunset Peak 6.vi.10, circa 500 m altitude. Biology: Imago found April to June. Maybe confined to Lantau Island.
Hikosanoagonum sp. 2
This species is 10.5 mm long, with the green laterally on the elytra, the disk yellow brown. Material: 1 ex. Hong Kong, Tai Mo Shan, 29.vii.12, circa 800 m altitude, netted. Biology: Imago found July. Maybe a mountain species.
