Material examined. SAMC-A22122.

Identification. Test hemispherical. Large tubercles reported to be outside pore-pairs of distal oral ambulacra. Madreporite divided into 3–4 parts, but this seems to be an individual variation ( Mortensen, 1935).

Global maximum size. Maximum test diameter 125 mm.

Global distribution. Portugal to West Africa, also reported from the West coast region of South Africa ( Filander & Griffiths 2014); at 850–2750 m depth ( Schultz, 2011).

Remarks. Record based on a single identified sample from the Iziko South African Museum.
