Amblopusa pallida Casey, 1911: 212 View in CoL (original description; type locality: Victoria, Vancouver Island).
Material examined. Japan: Hokkaidô: 58 unsexed, Ishikari-shi, Atsuta-ku, Gokibiru , 22. III. 2020, Y. Tasaku ( KUM, cYT) ; 2 males, 1 female, 15 unsexed, ditto, 2. V. 2020, Y. Tasaku (cYT) ; 1 male, 4 unsexed, Shimamakimura, Taihei, estuary of Taihei-gawa , 12. V. 2020, D. Sumikawa (cYT) .
Diagnosis. This species can be distinguished from other Amblopusa species by the body size (about 2.5 mm) except A. pacifica . From A. pacifica , it can be distinguished the following characteristics: pronotum slightly convex with anterolateral margin rounded ( Fig. 17C View FIGURE 17 ); median lobe of aedeagus with apical lobe acute at apex in lateral view ( Fig. 18E View FIGURE 18 ).
Distribution. Japan: western Hokkaidô; Canada; USA: Alaska, the Aleutian Islands, California ( Fig. 26A View FIGURE 26 ). Newly recorded from Japan.
