Length: male 3.8 mm.

Dorsum chocolate brown; crown with a longitudinal short median yellow line, and three lateral oblique lines, yellowish; eyes dark brown; ocelli reddish; forewing whitish on outer margin, hyaline patch at apex of clavus; venter (face, thorax and abdomen) gray ( Figs 1a–d View FIGURE 1 ).

Head slightly narrower than pronotum; crown conically produced in dorsal view with median length longer than interocular width; coronal suture long, 4/5 median length. Forewing distinctly broadened distally, apex truncate ( Fig. 1d View FIGURE 1 ).

Male pygofer process subapically expanded then narrowed to pointed apex ( Fig. 2a View FIGURE 2 ). Subgenital plates in ventral view slightly widening to near apex then tapered to pointed apex; with uniseriate row of macrosetae on lateral margin and several fine microsetae on ventral surface ( Fig. 2b View FIGURE 2 ). Connective Y-shaped, stem elongated. Style slender, tapered distally to large spiniform process and some small elevated teeth subapically on ventral margin and with few fine setae basad of elevation ( Fig. 2c View FIGURE 2 ). Aedeagus preatrium well developed; shaft tubular, broadened distally in lateral view with pair of symmetrical dorsal apical processes; gonopore apical ( Figs 2d–f View FIGURE 2 ).

Etymology. The species name is a Latin adjective meaning club-shaped, referring to the aedeagus in lateral view.

Material examined. Holotype: ♂, China, Hainan Province, Yinggeling Mountain , 30 April 2017, coll. Yao-wen Zhang.
