Same as for Brevaphrodella nigra sp. nov., due to monotypy of this genus.

Etymology

The genus name, a feminine Latin noun, combines brevis (“short”), Aphrodes (the name of a related extant leafhopper genus), and - ella (a diminutive suffix), refering to the small size and short forewings of the genus.
