Diagnosis

This species resembles Phintella lucida Wesołowska & Tomasiewicz, 2008 , with a similar colouration and structure of palp. It differs in the shape of the tibial apophysis, clearly forked in the last species, whereas Phintella brevis sp. nov. only has a small additional tooth at the tip of the apophysis.

Etymology

The specific epithet is Latin, meaning ‘short’, and refers to the very short embolus.
