TYPE MATERIAL. — Holotype: French Guiana. Environs de Régina sur l’Oyapock , 8-15.II.1981, Michel & Christine Boulard, 1 ♂ ( MNHN ( EH)16460).
Allotype: French Guiana. Same locality, date and collector as the holotype, 1 ♀ ( MNHN ( EH)16461).
Paratypes: French Guiana. Same locality, date and collector as the holotype, 2 ♂♂ ( MNHN ( EH)6481, MNHN ( EH)16462).
MATERIAL EXAMINED. — “Remire / French Guiana / March 28, 986 / P. J. Clausen” 1 ♂ ( UMSP), 1 ♂ ( AFSC). — “FR. GUYANA / Kaw track, PK 37 / 02 Mar 2002 // FG1”, 1 ♂ ( AFSC). — “FR. GUYANA ” 1 ♂ ( AFSC).
DISTRIBUTION. — The species is known from French Guiana, Venezuela and Brazil ( Metcalf 1963a; Boulard & Martinelli 1996; Sanborn 2007b, 2008).
