Geographical distribution: Trypanidius maculatus was described from Venezuela, Brazil (Pará and Mato Grosso), and Paraguay ( Monné, 2019b).

Remarks: The narrow oblique pubescent band adjacent to the black oblique band on anterior quarter of the elytra may be whitish or pale yellow ( Fig. 17 View Figures 17-24 ) or distinctly yellow ( Fig. 18 View Figures 17-24 ), well-delimited ( Fig. 18 View Figures 17-24 ) or somewhat irregular ( Fig. 16 View Figures 12-16 ); the two black posterior pubescent spots on pronotum may be distinct ( Fig. 16 View Figures 12-16 ) or nearly absent ( Fig. 18 View Figures 17-24 ).
