Lectotype (designated by Raven 1962a):—“ Tibet (Ladakh?). 10148 feet. Bellew 1873. No. 32. Hort. Kew.” ( K000979312 !, isolectotype JE).
Distribution: —U Ganga & Indus, Jammu & Kashmir.
Note: —This species is very problematic, and must await the availability of more collections. The species appears to be closely related to the Epilobium aichisonii , but a proper comparison of them cannot be made because of the lack of specimen.
