Lectotype (designated by Raven 1962a):— INDIA. Assam: Khasi Hills, 1500–2100 m, 1850, Hooker & Thomson s.n. ( K001057559 !, isolectotype BM000957935!) .
Distribution: — Bhutan, L Yarlung Zangbo, S Hengduan, N Hengduan, U Irrawaddy.
Note: —This subspecies is widely distributed in the warm temperate area of eastern Asia.
