Lectotype (designated by Raven 1962a):—“Sem. Ex Ind. Nepal. Colui”, 1881, Haussknecht s.n. ( JE).
Distribution: — Nepal.
Note: —It is similar to Epilobium laxum Royle (1839: 211) , but there have been no more information except type material and its protologue. Its status needs to be further studied. We did not see the lectotype of E. indicum deposited in JE, but we have seen the photo of this specimen in BM (BM001025671).
