This Neotropical genus comprises two species, both recorded in Brazil. They share the following character states: antennae 8-segmented with simple sense cones on segments III and IV ( Fig. 39 View FIGURES 34–51 ); ocellar region of the head elevated ( Fig. 55 View FIGURES 52–64 ); fore wings with long and slender veinal setae; metanotum with campaniform sensilla anterior to a pair of setae; tergite X longitudinally divided; male with U-shaped pore plate on sternites III–VII ( Figs 113, 114 View FIGURES 107–120 ).
