This species has been collected on cacao and mango in many Pantropical regions, including Brazil ( Monteiro et al. 1999, Mound et al. 2019). In the Brazilian Northeast it is a pest of cashew and has been reported causing yellow chlorosis, and browning on leaves of Litchi sp. in São Paulo ( Sánchez-Soto & Nakano 2004). In the State of Mato Grosso do Sul ( Monteiro et al. 1999) it has been recorded damaging Eucalyptus , also guanandi ( Calophyllum brasiliense ) ( Fig. 137 View FIGURES 121–138 ) and Liquidambar styraciflua ( Figs 128, 138 View FIGURES 121–138 ), in the State of Paraná (Lima et al. 2016).
