( Figs. 2 View FIGURE 2 a–2f)

Material examined. Holotype ♂ from China, Fujian Province, Kuatun , 2300 m, 28 April 1938, J. Klapperich ( ZFMK).

Adult habitus. Triocellate. General color brown with darker markings. Wings pale brown with darker veins ( Fig. 2d View FIGURE 2 ).

Male. Forewing length 18 mm. Tergum 9 bearing a small, raised mesal lobe and a sparse patch of sensilla basiconica; tergum 10 slightly notched on anteromesal margin and bearing a faint dark median line narrowly dividing large sensilla basiconica patch ( Fig. 2a View FIGURE 2 ). Paraprocts broadly triangular, flattened but with strongly recurved, spinelike tips ( Figs. 2a, 2b View FIGURE 2 ). Hammer small, oval and set near posterior margin of sternum 10 ( Fig. 2c View FIGURE 2 ). Y-stem of aedeagal sclerite shorter than arms, laterally compressed and blunt apically; arms ca. 1.3 times as long as stem, strongly narrowed to a stiletto-type shape in apical half; lateral projections very prominent ( Fig. 2f View FIGURE 2 ).

Etymology. The species name refers to the prominent lateral projections of the aedeagal sclerites.

Diagnosis. This species is distinguished from related congeners by the strongly projecting extensions present at the bases of the aedeagal arms. In addition, tergum 9 bears a slight, median dome sparsely covered with sensilla basiconica ( Fig. 2a View FIGURE 2 ).
